Golden Paragraph: Elias Fattal is a full professor in Drug Delivery Science at the University of Paris-Sud in Châtenay-Malabry, France. He is also the director of the Institut Galien Paris-Sud, UMR CNRS 8612, a research unit dealing with the design of nanomedicines where he is also leading one of the research group entitled “Particle and Cell Engineering for Therapeutics”. His multidisciplinary group is studying various aspects of lung delivery using nanotechnologies: designing new biodegradable materials, drug formulation, pharmacokinetics, cellular delivery and nanotoxicology. In collaboration with other Siminhale members, Elias is focusing on evaluating the possibility to design precision nanomedicines for a better targeting of different areas of lungs for the treatment of inflammatory and infectious diseases.
